Can Leheriya Sarees be worn during daytime events?

I'm going to purchase a Leheriya Saree and can use some expert advice. Which fabric is more appropriate for sustaining the wave effect, chiffon or georgette? Can the Leheriya sarees be worn in the daytime functions as well or only in the evenings? If you've recently purchased one, can you please give me some advice on preserving the colors as well as the online and offline stores to purchase from?
